Process Multiple Partial Reconciliations

Content Create Partial Reconciliation Reconcile a Partially Reconciled Statement Connected Business allows the user to save Banking Reconciliation forms even if they are not yet reconciled. These transactions are labeled as Partial Reconciliations. They can be accessed and updated until they are fully reconciled with the rest of your bank statement, at which point you will no longer be able to edit it. This document demonstrates how to create and process partial reconciliations through the Banking module. Only Connected Business v14 and higher versions allow the creation of more than one partially reconciled bank records. Previous versions do not allow multiple partial reconciliations.   Create Partial Reconciliation To create a partially reconciled statement: Go to Banking module > Banking > Reconciliation. Click on one of the active Bank Accounts to load the Reconciliation form. , Reconcile payments and deposits by ticking the checkboxes of the relevant document codes. To learn more about this process, read Perform Bank Reconciliation. You can create a Partial Reconciliation by clicking save when the Difference field indicates an amount other than zero ($0.00). Click Image to Enlarge To view your saved partial reconciliations, go to Banking module > Banking > Reconciliation > Partial Reconciliation tab. Click Image to Enlarge These items can be updated and saved again as partial reconciliations as long as there are still discrepancies between records.   Reconcile a Partially Reconciled Statement In Connected Business, the system allows you to create multiple partial reconciliations. However, you cannot fully reconcile a bank statement that was created on a later date until the partial reconciliation with the oldest Statement Date is fully reconciled first. When you try to reconcile a newer transaction a prompt will appear asking you to reconcile an earlier statement. Click Image to Enlarge The partial reconciliation with the oldest Statement Date will appear in the Partial Reconciliation tab as the first line item on the list. Once the bank statements are fully reconciled in the correct order, their will appear under the Recon History tab. At this point, none of the entries can be modified. Click Image to Enlarge
