Modify Existing Module Properties

 

You can esily modify the properties of a customized module. Follow the steps below on how to edit a module properties.

Steps


  1. Go to the System Manager module.
  2. Select Customize > Role button from the menu. The User Role form will display.
  3. Select the user role in the list to display the User Role form.
  4. From the User Role form, select the module to modify. Move the module in the Selected Modules List.

  5. Right click on the module in the list to view the options to modify the module. Using the right click options, you can:

    Edit the module layout

    Select Edit Module to display the module in "Layout Mode".

    Create a New Module Select New Module to create a new module.
    Arrange the order of the module in the Main menu Select the Move Up or the Move Down options to move the module.
    Rename the module Select Rename to display the Multilingual Description window. Enter the description for each language entry. Click OK to apply and close the window.
    Assign a module icons Select Small Image > Load Small Image to replace the default small icon for the module. Select theLarge Image > Load Large Image to replace the default large icon for the module.
    Hide/Disable the module Select Hide to hide the module. Right click on the module and select Unhide to show the module again.
    Select Disable to disable the module. Right click on the module and select Enable to enable the module again.
    Assign a module num key(Optional) Select Num Key and enter the shortcut key for the module.


    To delete a module, select the module in the selected list and click on the Delete button. Select Yes in the prompt to delete the module. Alternately, you may right click on the module then click on Delete module.

    Note that the custom module will be deleted completely including the customizations done to the menu and forms.

    To remove a module icon, select Small Image > Remove to delete the default small icon for the module. Or, select the Large Image > Remove to delete the default large icon for the module.
