Import Existing Inventory Item List
eShopCONNECTED can import your existing product details from certain eCommerce web sites provided you have activated the appropriate eShopCONNECTOR and create matching Inventory Item records in Connected Business.
- To start the eShopCONNECTED Inventory Import Wizard, select eShopCONNECTED Inventory Import from the Utility > Setup menu on the eCommerce module.
- You will be asked which Source you want to import Inventory Items from.
This task is for those who want to create a special pricing scheme for “select” customers.
- When you select the Source, if you have multiple Account or Instance IDs enabled for that Source, you will be asked which Account or Instance to use.
- Once you have selected the Source, and Account/Instance where relevant, click Next.
- The Wizard will then read a list of products from the specified Source and display them in a grid. If you have run the Wizard and successfully imported some products previously, then those products will be shown with a grey background.
- If you wish to exclude specific products from being imported, simple clear the Import checkbox for the product. There buttons above the grid which will select all products not already imported or clear all the Import checkboxes so that no products are selected.
- Once you have selected the products to import, simply click Next and the Wizard will then read the selected product details from source and import them into Connected Business as Inventory Items.
- Once the import process has completed, the Wizard will display the number of products imported and the number skipped.
Reading the product list may take some time depending on the number of products. Please be patient. Importing the products may take some time depending on the number of products. Please be patient. Some product types may be skipped because the Wizard does not currently support the mapping of that product type to Connected Business at the current time.
