Enable Shipping Calculator
This article talks about enabling the shipping calculator in Connected Business eCommerce.
The Shipping Calculator, which is added in the shopping cart page of the webstore, allows anonymous customers (and registered users) to view the shipping rates prior to registering or checking out. The shipping rate estimates will be based on the country, state, and postal code specified. This feature is very useful especially to those customers who do not want to register in the website just to get the shipping rates.
Enable Shipping Calculator in the Webstore
To enable the shipping calculator,
- Go to eCommerce module > Setup > Application Configuration and the Application Configuration window will be displayed.

- In the Config Value field, change the config value to TRUE.
- Click Save and Close to apply changes.
To use the shipping calculator, go to the webstore, add an item, and view the shopping cart page. Go to the Estimate Shipping section. The address indicated is the primary shipping address for the account. You can also change the postal code if you want to get the rates for a different shipping address. Click on Calculate Shipping button and the list of available shipping rates for the specified address will be displayed.

Aside from the address, shipping rates will also depend on how the shipping methods are set up in Connected Business (realtime shipping, general freight, etc.).
