Create New Bank Account Detail

 

STEPS:

Each bank account should have a unique account code assigned to it. If there is no account code available, you may create new account codes for bank account from the New Account Code option in the Accounting module.

To create a new bank account,

    1. Go to the Banking module > Bank and select the New Bank Account option.

    2. The list of existing banks will be displayed. Select the bank for your bank account.

    3. The New Bank Account form will be displayed. Enter the details for the Bank Account Description, Bank Account Type, Bank Account Code and all other applicable fields.



    4. Click Save or Save and Close.


   

You can also create a new bank account directly from the Bank Account List tab of the Bank Detail form.




SET UP DEFAULT BANK ACCOUNT


To set up a default bank account to use,

  1. Go to Banking > Setup and select the Preferences option. The Banking Preference form will be displayed.



  2. In the Default Bank Account field, select from the dropdown list the default bank account to use in bank transactions (bank payments, bank receipts).



  3. Click Ok to apply your changes.
