Convert POS Transactions

This article demonstrates how to convert quotes, sales orders and invoices in Connected Business Desktop POS.

 

 

 

Convert Quote to Order

To convert a quote to sales order,

  1. Click the Transactions button and select Quotes. The list of sales quotes will be displayed. Select the quote to be converted and click Convert.

  2. The quote details will be displayed in the transaction tape and the transaction type is set to Convert to Order. Click Complete and select Convert.

  3. A print preview of the sales order receipt will be displayed. You can choose to print the receipt or close the window to process another transaction. You can view the list of  open sales order from Transactions > Orders.

Convert Order to Sale

To convert a sales order to sale,

  1. Click the Transactions button and select Orders. The list of sales orders will be displayed.
  2. Select the order to be converted and click Convert

  3. The order details will be displayed in the transaction tape and the transaction type is set to Convert to Sale. Click Complete and select Convert.

  4. A print preview of the sale receipt will be displayed. You can choose to print the receipt or close the window to process another transaction. You can view the list of posted sales invoices from Transactions > Sales.

Convert Invoice to Credit Memo

To convert a sales invoice to credit memo,

  1. Click the Transactions button and select Sales. The list of  posted sales invoices will be displayed.
  2. Select the invoice to be processed and click Return.

  3. The invoice details will be displayed in the transaction tape and the transaction type is set to Return. Click Complete and select how you want to process the refund (Cash, Check, Credit Card or select On Account if you want to apply the refund to the customer's outstanding balance.)

  4. A print preview of the return receipt will be displayed. You can choose to print the receipt or close the window to process another transaction. You can view the list of processed returns from Transactions > Returns.
