Set Up USPS / Endicia Carrier

This section will discuss how to setup details for the USPS Endicia carrier as well as obtain a shipping account using their test server and live production URLs. Also, in order to move your test account to production, follow the setting up label certification process to get labels. 

 

 

Set Up USPS Plugin Details

1. From the Shipping module, select Setup ► Carrier Plugin. The Carrier Plugin form will be displayed with the available carriers.
   
   
2. Double click USPS to open the Detail tab.

3. On the Multi Location section, select the location where you want to setup the carrier account.

4. Supply the Carrier Account information. See Test Server and Live Production URLs for the list.
   
   
5. Click on the Label Options sliding pane to view its properties. Refer to the configuration matrix below for the values.

Obtain USPS Account

1. To get a USPS User ID, register with USPS Webtools by clicking this link: https://secure.shippingapis.com/registration/
   

   You will receive an email from the USPS Internet Customer Care Center (ICCC ). The email you received includes the User ID and Password which are required for using the Shipping module.

2. Request from the USPS ICCC to switch your account to the USPS PRODUCTION server. You can contact the USPS ICCC by sending an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or calling them at 1-800-344-7779(7:00AM to 11:00PM Eastern Time).
   
   
3. When your account is successfully moved to the USPS PRODUCTION server, you can start using the Shipping module.

Set Up Endicia for USPS

The leading Internet postage industry and approved licensed vendor of the United States Postal Service® (USPS), Endicia®, has been added to Connected Business Shipping module to essentially reduce shipping costs and manage domestic ecommerce postage needs easily. With the integration of Endicia to USPS, you can now generate shipping postage labels plus the postage stamps completely hassle free and on the fly.

1. From the Shipping module, select Setup ► Carrier Plugin. The Carrier Plugin form will be displayed with the available carriers.
   
   
2. On the Detail tab of the Carrier Plugin search screen, fill up the carrier account info. Select provider as Endicia. Click Save and Close.
